What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Article 1: Privacy
UniAssist agrees that the interviews, the information provided, the exchanged documents and the work produced remain confidential. No reference is made on the identity of our clients and all personal data (name, training, university etc.) are always kept private by our specialists.
Furthermore, in accordance with the legal provisions relating to computers, files and freedoms, the client has a right of access, rectification and opposition to the data. In any case, the client may send an email to  UniAssist engages never to disclose such information to third parties.

Article 2: Limited conservation of documentation
UniAssist will keep an electronic copy of the revised or written documents, available to the client, during a period not exceeding one month (unless specifically requested by the client). Any request for recovery of these documents, once the payment and delivery of the order are made, will be honored by UniAssist by mail free of charge, or against payment if by post. After this storage period, the documents are destroyed.

Article 3: Physical and Intellectual Property
The documents sent to UniAssist remain its property until full payment of the amounts due. After the payment, UniAssist loses all ownership rights on the products.

Article 4: Refusal
UniAssist reserves the right to refuse any order non-compliant with its ethics. Thus, we refuse to attend to any request that is contrary to good morals and laws.

Article 5: Quotation
All UniAssist performances lead to the establishment of a quotation free of change and with no obligation. Quote requests can be made by phone, post or e-mail via our website.
The quote describes the nature of the work, the communication means chosen by the client, the deadline, delivery mode, prices, payment terms, these very Terms and Conditions, and any other particular request defined with the client.
Article 6: Prices
Prices for our services are expressed in Dollars, Pounds, or Euros.
Our charges can be changed at any time without cause.
However, quotations validated by the client cannot be modified. The prices outlined in the quotation and approved by the client are valid for three months from the date of issuance.
Article 7: Validation of the order
The quotation signed by the client and accompanied by the words “Good for agreement” stands as his or her purchase order and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Simply writing an agreement by e-mail also stands as a quotation.
In case of dispute, the signed quotation, the agreement sent by e-mail, the General Conditions of Sale and a copy of the work done will be the proof of the agreement between the two parties.

Article 8 – Bill
Every service provided leads to the establishment of a bill. Prices paid are those agreed by both parties on the date of registration of the order.

Article 9: Payment
Normally, payment is due prior to the execution of any order.
However, to satisfy both parties, UniAssist may decide to provide the client with an interim or final version of the document for approval prior to payment.
For huge jobs, different terms can be implemented by agreement between the two parties.
Upon acceptance of the quote, UniAssist should clearly be informed of the method of payment chosen by the client and validate it. Payment can be made in cash, through Paypal, by bank transfer or by other means approved by UniAssist.
In case of delay, penalties of 8% per month shall be due without any notice being required.
These penalties run automatically upon the date of receipt of the bill.

Article 10: Withdrawal period
According to the law, in case of distant exchange, the client willing to withdraw has seven days from the time when the quote is signed or approved. Such decision may not be justified, but he or she must inform us through a letter with acknowledgment of receipt.
The payments made will be returned to the client immediately no later than fifteen days from the date of withdrawal.
However, this policy is not valid for urgent work that would have been executed and delivered during the withdrawal period.

Article 11: Data
The client agrees to provide all information and documents necessary to carry out the work. In case of any delay, failure or lack of information transmission, UniAssist will not be held responsible for additional execution time and delivery delays.

Article 12: Changes in the order
Any change or addition of the work initiated by the client during execution may lead to the establishment of a new quote.

Article 13: Termination
Any termination of the contract by the client shall be notified through a registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, not later than fifteen days before the agreed delivery date.
Deposits paid will not be refunded to the client.
Similarly, the work done will not give rise to any refund.

Article 14: Delivery
The work is transmitted electronically: email, FTP or other electronic means. Other delivery methods can be exceptionally selected in agreement with UniAssist during the establishment of the quotation.
The delivery deadlines will be mentioned on the quote and will vary depending on the services requested and the workload.
At the reception of the documents, the client has 48 hours to notify us of any reservations. After that time, UniAssist considers the client is fully satisfied with his performance. In the case of posting, payment is required.

Article 15: Disputes
These general conditions of sale are governed by Swiss law.
If any responsibility should be charged on UniAssist, it will be strictly limited to the price of the order, and not from the service provided.
Any dispute that could not be settled by amicable agreement between UniAssist and the client falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Geneva For, whatever the place of delivery of the work.
